The United States Gaming Consortium (USGC) has designated Michael Rumbolz as its incoming leader. A veteran presence in the gaming sector, Rumbolz will take on his new capacity in 2024, replacing Jim Allen, who has held the chairmanship since January 2022.

Rumbolz possesses a vast reservoir of knowledge in the field, having functioned as the Head and Chief Executive Officer of Everi, a gaming technology firm. His notable credentials also encompass positions like Chair of the Nevada Gaming Regulatory Commission and Principal Deputy Attorney General of Nevada. This varied history provides him with a distinct comprehension of the gaming industry from multiple angles – as a businessperson, a provider, and an overseer.

Conveying his eagerness about the selection, Rumbolz remarked, “I am humbled to be granted the chance to guide the USGC and effect tangible change on the trajectory of gaming.” He underscored his dedication to expanding upon the efforts of his forerunner, Jim Allen, especially in tackling critical matters like illicit gaming and advocating for ethical gaming practices.

William Miller, Head and Chief Executive Officer of the USGC, enthusiastically greeted Rumbolz, emphasizing his extraordinary expertise and leadership attributes. He voiced assurance in Rumbolz’s capability to propel significant advancements on essential industry objectives.

William Miller shared, “James’s knowledge, foresight, and guidance have been essential in propelling the American Gaming Association’s objectives and amplifying our sector’s influence.” He continued, “James has been a reliable confidant, and I appreciate the chance to have collaborated with him over these past twenty-four months.”

During James Allen’s term, the gaming sector navigated a difficult resurgence from the global health crisis, a period also characterized by a rise in illicit wagering operations – a pattern observed worldwide.

Contemplating his service, Allen noted, “Our sector, and our Association, are more robust than ever before. I am immensely pleased with all we achieved over the preceding two years to hasten gaming’s revival while also setting a trajectory for the future with fresh priorities.” He voiced faith in the AGA’s prospects under Miller and his incoming administration, saying, “The AGA is well-situated for what lies ahead with Michael and William at the helm.”
