Wagerer, a sports wagering platform with a focus on microbets, is making significant strides towards a nationwide expansion in the coming year. Their objective is to initiate operations in eight states, prioritizing Colorado, Kentucky, and Pennsylvania for their initial rollout. These launches, anticipated in the first part of 2024, will follow their debut in Ohio, Virginia, and Massachusetts (though their Massachusetts presence is intended to be short-lived).

Wagerer is particularly interested in Indiana and Maryland but requires those states to solidify their sports wagering legal frameworks before proceeding. Their goal is to be fully operational in these locations prior to the start of the 2024 NFL season.

Furthermore, Wagerer’s ambitions extend beyond sports betting. They are also venturing into the realm of internet-based casinos with “Wagerer Casino,” launching initially in Pennsylvania.

To facilitate these endeavors, Wagerer is establishing collaborations with key allies. One noteworthy partnership is with the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians (EBCI) in Kentucky. Both Wagerer and EBCI view this as a mutually beneficial alliance, capitalizing on their respective advantages to tap into Kentucky’s passion for athletics.

Simultaneously, Cordish Companies has granted Betr permission to commence operations in Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Louisiana. Rob Norton, the head of Cordish Gaming Group, expresses particular enthusiasm for the prospects of Betr Casino, Betr’s internet gaming platform, which will be introduced upon receiving regulatory authorization.

“Betr Casino is poised to significantly alter the landscape for players in Pennsylvania, particularly in conjunction with our two thriving Live! Casinos,” remarked Norton.

Betr intends to implement a gradual rollout of its sports wagering platform, commencing with its V1 iteration, across all the aforementioned states (excluding Massachusetts) within the current year.

“We are delighted to unveil these fresh market access collaborations that will introduce Betr Sportsbook to new patrons and broaden Betr Casino into new territories in 2024, all prior to even launching our V1 Sportsbook product,” stated Joey Levy, Founder and CEO of Betr.

“This latest series of market access agreements paves the path for Betr Sportsbook to be accessible to more than 17% of the U.S. adult populace by the conclusion of this year, while Betr Picks will maintain its availability to over 50% of the U.S. adult population.”
