The third AffiliateCon Sofia gathering, initially planned for May 12-13 in Sofia, Bulgaria, has been deferred to the corresponding dates in 2021 because of the COVID-19 epidemic.

In response to the worldwide coronavirus outbreak, Bulgaria announced a state of emergency lasting until April last Friday. Numerous gaming and affiliate marketing firms have also started to limit staff travel.

AffiliateCon creator Julian Perry stated that this year’s event, which had been in the works for two years, was on track to be the gaming industry’s largest AffiliateCon ever, with a sizable number of companies and hundreds of affiliates already signed up.

“Due to the current global pandemic declaration of COVID-19, we have been left with no choice but to delay the event,” Perry stated.

Affiliates will still be able to listen to some of the speakers who have already been confirmed for this year’s event through a number of online sessions. On May 12, 2020, AffiliateCon will host a virtual conference; more information will be released soon.

The AffiliateCon team regrets any inconvenience this may have caused and is dedicated to making the following year’s event even bigger and better.
