The British Columbia Lottery Organization (BCLC) is seeking a fresh chief! Following the departure of former CEO, Jim Lightbody, in December 2021, Lynda Cavanaugh has been holding down the position. However, they are now prepared to appoint a permanent head to guide the organization.

They have teamed up with Leaders International, a Canadian executive recruitment agency, to assist in identifying the ideal candidate. The perfect applicant? Envision someone with a strategic mindset, capable of fostering teamwork, and unafraid to embrace innovative concepts and approaches. BCLC desires a leader who can strike a balance between the thrill of the lottery industry and a steadfast dedication to ethical gaming and community contribution. It’s a challenging task, but the destiny of BCLC hinges on finding the right individual for the role!

“BCLC is delighted to embark on a quest for our next President and CEO, an individual who will expand upon our existing achievements and propel innovation in a manner that advantages our patrons, neighborhoods, and British Columbia,” stated Greg Moore, BCLC Board Chair.

This appointee will collaborate closely with the BCLC Board and Executive leadership, embodying a values-oriented approach. They must possess a fervent dedication to societal well-being and cultivate a workplace characterized by empowerment, fairness, and inclusivity for our staff and the gaming sector as a whole.

The evaluation of applications will commence on March 17, 2022.
