**High-End Gaming Company Names Bill Lance to Board**
Aristocrat Leisure has selected Bill G. Lance Jr. to become a member of its board of directors in a non-executive capacity. The appointment is in effect immediately, subject to the required regulatory green lights.
Lance is a well-regarded Native American tribal leader who holds the record as the longest-serving Secretary of Commerce for the Chickasaw Nation, an Oklahoma-based tribe. He supervised 7,000 staff members and over 60 businesses in gaming, hospitality, retail, and media.
“When he retired as Secretary of Commerce, Mr. Lance received the title of Chickasaw Nation Ambassador from the Chickasaw Nation,” Aristocrat stated.
“In this position, Mr. Lance represents the Chickasaw Nation to various tribes throughout the United States and other national and state groups. This includes serving on the Executive Committee of the American Gaming Association and the Greater Oklahoma City Chamber of Commerce.”
He is currently a member of the board of directors for the Chickasaw Nation Business Development Authority and BancFirst Corporation, a NASDAQ-traded company. Lance has also served on the board of trustees for the University of Oklahoma Foundation, the Oklahoma Department of Commerce Advisory Committee, and the Dean’s Advisory Board for the University of Oklahoma’s College of Arts and Sciences.
“It gives me great pleasure to welcome such an experienced leader as Bill to the Board,” remarked Neil Chatfield, chairman of Aristocrat.
He contributes many years of expertise as a gaming proprietor and head of a prominent American indigenous tribe, offering our Board a fresh and insightful outlook.”
“I trust that Bill will enhance our customer-focused strategy throughout the company. I extend my congratulations to Bill on his nomination and eagerly anticipate his valuable input at Aristocrat.”
At the company’s yearly gathering in February 2023, Aristocrat stakeholders will cast their ballots on Lance’s selection as a non-executive board member.
This appointment comes after Aristocrat’s recent deal to purchase the UK-based iGaming provider, Roxor Gaming.
