AstroPay, a provider of digital payment solutions, has broadened its reach in Brazil by incorporating Pix, the nation’s immensely popular real-time payment platform. Introduced in 2020 by Brazil’s Central Bank, Pix has swiftly become the preferred payment choice, currently representing a substantial portion of all banking operations.
AstroPay is simplifying payments for its users with Pix by introducing two user-friendly methods. Firstly, a direct link on the vendor’s payment page enables users to complete transactions using Pix without exiting the vendor’s website. Initial findings indicate this has significantly enhanced sales conversions. The second method caters to vendors utilizing AstroPay’s proprietary software development kit (SDK), granting them the adaptability to seamlessly integrate Pix payments.
Mikael Lijtenstein, AstroPay’s CEO, emphasized the significance of this integration: “Our constant endeavor is to deliver the optimal experience for both our users and vendors. Pix has revolutionized payment processing in Brazil, and by incorporating it into the AstroPay platform, we empower our users with greater choice and ease while assisting our vendors in connecting with this rapidly expanding customer demographic.”
AstroPay, an online payment platform, is significantly expanding its presence in Latin America. Following a prosperous introduction in Brazil in 2021, the company is targeting substantial expansion, seeking collaborations with more than 200 vendors and aiming to connect with an impressive 150 million customers solely within the Brazilian market. Their aspirations extend further – just last month, they broadened their operations to encompass other crucial Latin American markets, offering their services to small and medium-sized enterprises in Peru, Chile, Mexico, and Colombia. This assertive growth plan highlights AstroPay’s goal of becoming a dominant payment processor within the flourishing Latin American market.
