The UK National Lottery’s operator, Camelot, has pledged its support for British athletes participating in the Tokyo Games by financing essential Covid-19 safety protocols. This collaboration establishes Camelot as an official ParalympicsGB partner and a dedicated supporter of Team GB.
Camelot’s financial contribution will be pivotal in safeguarding the well-being of both Olympic and Paralympic athletes in the crucial period preceding and throughout the Games. This investment encompasses a variety of measures, including sanitation technology and screening initiatives for the Olympic team, and vital supplies such as rapid antigen tests and Covid-compliant transportation for the Paralympic team.
Nigel Railton, Camelot’s Chief Executive Officer, conveyed immense satisfaction in backing Team GB and ParalympicsGB at this momentous occasion for the entire country.
In addition to the direct assistance for athletes, the funding will also facilitate a “Daily Wellness” program centered on staff health and morale. Railton stressed that this partnership presents an occasion for Camelot personnel to “perform at their peak daily” while championing the athletes.
