The Entain Foundation, a charitable organization supported by Entain, has pledged to finance the Gordon Moody Alumni Program, a UK organization dedicated to aiding individuals struggling with gambling addiction.

The Entain Foundation has been collaborating with Gordon Moody for over half a decade, providing financial assistance and resources. This recent funding initiative is a continuation of this partnership.

The two-year Alumni Program intends to establish a network of former problem gamblers who have successfully completed treatment at Gordon Moody. These individuals will offer assistance to those seeking or having just finished treatment.

The program will include a peer mentoring scheme, providing training and direction before and after treatment. It will offer alumni flexible part-time and full-time paid positions.

The initial two years of the Alumni Program are projected to cost approximately £740,000 (€842,506/$906,758), which will be entirely funded by the Entain Foundation.

“We have been honored to actively support Gordon Moody for an extended period, and we are thrilled to continue backing the charity’s Alumni Program,” stated Barry Gibson, Chairman of Entain.

Beyond the substantial £40 million we willingly contribute to GambleAware, the organization offers free care for gambling dependents in England, Scotland, and Wales.

“Gordon Moody’s Alumni program will be the first time that those who have finished treatment will be able to aid those who are seeking treatment. It will provide direct assistance from individuals who have been in their situation and have recovered, to those most susceptible to the negative effects of gambling.”

Gordon Moody CEO Matthew Hickey stated: “The Alumni program will assist Gordon Moody in reaching more individuals who need our assistance by placing the voices of lived experience at the core of our engagement and lodging services.

“The Entain Foundation’s contribution is essential in helping Gordon Moody to expand its services and meet the requirements of those who need treatment and assistance. We are pleased to continue our partnership with Entain and are thankful for their ongoing support and financial contribution.”
