MicroGaming, a software provider based in the Isle of Man, has declared that it will discontinue its MicroGaming Poker Network (MPN), which has been operating for 16 years, in 2020.
MicroGaming stated that the decision was made following an extensive internal evaluation of its product offerings and strategy. CEO John Coleman mentioned that the network model no longer aligns with their strategic outlook for poker.
Further information regarding the MPN closure will be disclosed in the coming weeks. However, MicroGaming assured players that they can still engage in online competitions, promotional activities, and cash games for the time being.
“The network structure no longer corresponds with our strategic perspective on poker, and this is the optimal moment to announce the closure as we concentrate on reallocating essential resources and personnel throughout the company,” Coleman stated.
“Although the network will be discontinued, this does not imply that MicroGaming will cease offering poker games. MicroGaming is dedicated to crafting the most pleasurable entertainment experience, leading the world in exceptional gaming content.”
This alteration will assist companies in achieving their objectives by concentrating on particular industry segments. We will provide further information regarding our updated approach shortly.
