She will maintain the role until the subsequent board election, which will occur at the annual shareholder gathering.<\/p>\n<p>Brill is a Canadian intellectual property attorney and patent agent who worked at Bereskin &#038; Parr LLP from 1998 to 2008. She then became a private investor and has been a stakeholder of Galaxy ever since.<\/p>\n<p>During her tenure at Bereskin &#038; Parr LLP, Brill was involved in all facets of patent drafting and legal proceedings, intellectual property portfolio management strategies, and competitive intelligence research.<\/p>\n<p>Mark Liparelli, head of the Galaxy board, stated that Brill will be a beneficial addition to the company.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMeredith is a valuable addition to the Galaxy board,\u201d he said. \u201cHer expertise in intellectual property directly relates to Galaxy\u2019s business model, and as a long-time shareholder, she is very familiar with the company\u2019s opportunities and challenges.
